I know you've heard the joke about the kid who thought god said "trains" instead of "brains" and the kid didn't get his.

Preseason Rankings Analysis

College football is one of the greatest institutions in America, and so is preseason rankings. I was surfing around for a website that aggregates the different magazine and news organization preseason rankings and....voile. Here it is


What's my take on these rankings? They mean nothing, any given Saturday someone can lose. That's what is so great about NCAA Football. Now, if they would only implement a playoff system.....

What's my take on OSU's lack of respect? I call it a lack of respect for OSU, but it should be for the whole Pac-10. OSU is ranked fourth in the conference overall, but is only ranked 33rd nationally. USC is everyone's #1, UCLA and Cal are outside the top 10.
