Andrew Susac is balling for the SF Giants

Susac is a former Beaver who is lighting up the MLB. Folks in SF are talking about Buster Posey moving to first base because Susac has turned out to be such a stud. Here's an interview of Andrew in 2012(awesome)

Spring Ball/Baseball Update sorta

OSU's spring practice was a pretty dull affair. I haven't felt inspired to post anything because it has been so boring. I am on the fence whether this year's team will be okay or not. Based on the voting from visitors I am not the only one. My take away from spring was that there were some players who could definitely contribute, on offense and defense. I just don't see a healthy/cohesive group.

On another front, OSU's baseball team is having a spectacular season. They are ranked #2. Some kid named Dunn went for the cycle today! These kids are balling. I can't wait for the college world series!

I am thinking about making this blog a vlog site. I am getting tired of typing my stupid opinions.....video seems so much easier. Maybe I should just switch from blogging all together. Just open a YouTube channel or something.....

27-7 = Ballers

OSU's baseball team is putting together one hell of a season. They are on fire. They just swept Stanford this weekend, for the first time.

This is getting exciting! OSU is going to Omaha.

I don't have any comments on the OSU spring practice, there's nothing interesting to report in my opinion. Check that, there is a WR noob making plays, which is good. But it's spring practice. Katz and Rogers are not healthy. Most of the activity is just moving bodies around.

OSU Baseball wins 6-4

The Beav's baseball team has had a tough year, it would be great to see them rally.

They beat Florida International today 6-4. Let's see if they can make a run this post season.

2008 OSU Baseball team is young

I can only comment on what I read. OSU's baseball team seems to be sucking on their own fumes. They have more excuses than a delinquent kid in high school.

The OSU baseball team stunk in games they were supposed to win this year. That is the bottomline.

Utah Valley State? Are you kidding me? Do you really think you should be invited to the NCAA's after losing to them? Really?

Read more bizarre rationalizations here.

Joey Wong seems like the only sane guy-

"It was just kind of an inconsistent year," said sophomore shortstop Joey Wong, a Sprague High School alum. "There are some quality wins, then we lost to some teams we shouldn't have lost to. I think that's what really kept us out."

And Joey is right. Not bad for a soph.

Next year will be better. 2 CWS wins in a row is amazing. Too much talent left the program quickly. OSU was made up of freshman and sophmores this year.

Protho's Video Mix

Jason Protho has put together a group of clips from OSU's post season, and seeing some of these plays again really blows my mind. This was a really talented group of baseball players. They remind me of the Oakland A's in a lot of ways.

Back to Back NCAA CWS Champs

Oregon State beat North Carolina 9-3 on Sunday to win the College World Series. Back-to-back. Beaver-to-Beaver. The last team into the NCAA tournament. Unranked, unheralded, unexpected -- whatever you want to call it, however you want to term it, it happened.

OSU wins 11-4 in first game of the CWS 2007

The OSU Beavers are still firing on all cylinders, they stomped UNC this afternoon. OSU will have their work cut out for them tomorrow, UNC is a good team and will fight hard to make this a 3 game series.

(Bruce Thorson/US Presswire)

Jorge Reyes pitched a great game today, whether or not he's a freshman, he played like a veteran. The most notable difference between the two teams was defense and fundamentals. Both teams committed mistakes, but OSU's were less glaring. OSU's 2nd base and SS combination is insanely good. Wong and Barney are money. These guys difference makers.

Beavers beat UC Irvine to advance to the CWS

Bruce Thorson/US Presswire

Wow. What a baseball team OSU has. They finished 6th in the Pac-10 standings at the end of the year, and now they are playing for the ring. They beat up UC Irvine 7-1 today. It was impressive the way they took care of business.

OSU is in the College World Series

Wow. I don't know what to say..... the Oregon State University Men's Baseball program is an elite program.

It's so amazing to read about this team, it is trule inspiring. As an alumnus, I am so proud. As I am getting older, and raising two little boys, I am gaining appreciation for coaching that I've never had before. I've coached before at the Junior College and High School level, but I never really understood the value and impact a great coach can have on their players and the community. Pat Casey is the man.

Here I am in Northern California, and I am feeling emotional about my alma mater's baseball team. I never thought I would see the day. Honestly, OSU's baseball program when I was there was a joke. Now it's elite.

If you are a high school baseball player and you are thinking about where you want to play, I suggest OSU. Wouldn't you like to have a chance to experience what the 2007 team is experiencing right now? They are the reigning NCAA Division I champs, and they are the underdog. Can it get better than that? Can you feel me?

OSU's Baseball Team Continues in the NCAA's

Oregon State's 2007 men's baseball team is kicking ass again this year, beating #1 Seed Virginia. Next up for the Beavers is Michigan.

All I can say is that Pat Casey is an incredible coach. I realize they have good players, but he is really amazing. I like how the team get's focused and emotional to win big games. Having the series at home is HUGE!!!
