My heart and prayers go out to Todd Lamar Doxey's family and friends. He was a U of O defensive back who died yesterday after diving off a bridge into a river in Oregon. Utterly tragic.

As much as I rail on U of O on this blog, I consider some ex-U of O grads good friends. Football razzing is just that. It's meant in good fun. In the locker room and on the field we all talked shit, this blog is meant in the same vein.

I am a parent, and the thought of losing my son at Todd's young age is horrifying.

OSU loses a Sr DB and gains a HS Sr???

Bryan Payton was dismissed from the OSU football team, which is bad news for the Beavers. I have no idea what Brian was thinking, but he just blew it. He didn't just blow up his football career, he blew his whole future as a productive citizen. I am not sure, but I think he is no longer a student of OSU. Damn shame.

OSU announced the signing of a Jr/Sr QB from Stockton. He looks good but damn, can't we wait to see how he does his senior yr before offering a scholie?
