James Rodgers: Biletnikoff & All-America Candidate

Here's a video promoting James Rodgers for some post season awards. He seems like a good kid. But the video sucks donkey balls. I mean, I am glad he attends local charity events, but that ain't gonna make a difference in getting the Biletnikoff bling....

Here's a highlight reel from OSU's last Biletnikoff winner- Mike Hass. The game footage is good, but it has a ridonkulously stupid rap song that might require turning down the sound...you were warned....

A reminder how Corvallis sucks

When I was in Corvallis, I remember the over-zealous police and DA. It was such a joke how they loved to "get" football players.

Today Oregon Live reports that Kristick, Moevao, and Olander where charged with stealing a campus golf cart and banging it up. This is such a stupid move by the players- there is no excuse. The Benton County DA charging them is equally stupid and a waste of tax payers money. The police and legal dept's should have better things to do. If this incident occured at Alabama, it would never see the light of day. The coaching staff would dole out the necessary punishment. Since Kristick and Moevao are no longer on the team, the OSU administration could handle it.

I am so glad I don't live in Corvallis. The place is backward.....

1 Player picked in the 2010 NFL Draft

Sean Canfield got drafted in the 7th round by the world champion New Orleans Saints(I love saying that).

It's says alot about the 2009 OSU Football team. Not a lot of seniors, not a lot of draft picks(especially compared to last year). Riley obviously did the most with what he had in 2009, otherwise there would have been more draftee's.

Good luck to Sean, I hope he kicks ass and gets a roster spot. He is joining a great team, great coach, and a great starter(Drew Brees) to learn from.

OSU Coaches help Jeremy Perry

I don't think I've ever seen something like this before, but now that we are in the YouTube world it's not too surprising.

Jeremy Perry was a top offensive lineman at OSU who barely played his last two years because of injuries. He was a candidate to become a high draft pick, but things didn't work out.

I am impressed that the OSU coaches agreed to help JP by making the video below. When I played at OSU I couldn't get a coach do jack for me. As far as the quality of the video, looking at it from a pure PR standpoint- it needs work. There are no gameplay highlights, and the interviews last too long. The workout film clips look ok, but needs editing.

Injuries

It is the theme of the 2010 spring practice. Players are either quitting or getting hurt.
