Mike Leach, really?

While I believe that Mike Riley has hit the wall with OSU, I don't think Mike Leach is the answer. This dude has issues. There a tons of Beaver Nation folks who think he is the answer, I disagree.

Leach’s dismissal came after he was suspended by the university from coaching in the Alamo Bowl on Saturday for what it said was his mistreatment of one of his players, Adam James, a sophomore receiver who is the son of the ESPN broadcaster Craig James. Leach was accused of isolating James in an equipment garage and a media room while he was sitting out practice with a concussion. Texas Tech officials said that Leach’s actions, including not signing a letter spelling out guidelines for dealing with players, and his reaction to their investigation forced them to fire him.

“He was simply fired because he mistreated a young student athlete with a concussion, and then refused to work with Tech to try to solve the situation. We’re confident that the Supreme Court will find that he doesn’t have a case factually or legally,” Grigg said.

During spring training in late March, Leach had demoted wide receiver Edward Britton for failure to regularly attend class and maintain good grades. Leach ordered Britton to study at a desk at midfield in 30-degree weather, albeit in a heavy coat.

Dude, you need some help finding a clue. You appear to have bought into the spin of a corrupt administration. As a Tech graduate, I am in mourning over the loss of Coach Leach. He is the real deal. If you want to find some more clues check out the book Swing Your Sword. OSU simply could not do better than to hire Coach Leach. He is that good.

ANYONE WHO HAS KEPT UP WITH THE MIKE LEACH SITUATION KNOWS THAT THE REAL STORY/THE REAL TRUTH, IS THAT COACH LEACH WAS DONE WRONG BY A POWERFUL BUNCH OF CORRUPT PEOPLE WHO COULD NOT STAND THE FACT THAT THIS HONORABLE MAN WOULD NOT PULL OUT THE KNEE PADS AND DO THEIR BIDDING....EDUCATE YOURSELF FRIEND BEFORE YOU START SPITTIN ON YERSELF....YOU MAY CHANGE/EXPAND YER MINDSET. COACH LEACH IS GOING TO COACH AGAIN, AND WITH WHAT HE DID AT TECH, HE CAN DO AGAIN ANYWHERE HE IS GIVEN A CHANCE TO DO HIS THING....I SAY, FORGET HELL....SWING YER SWORDS...!

The net net is that Leach didn't want to leave TT. His handling of the situation caused the problem. If he had handled it differently, do you think he would have left or been fired?

Pointing the finger, placing blame on others is weak.

I doubt Leach didn't know who he was dealing with in the TT administration.

Putting a player in a shed for discipline is.....strange? I can't say I've ever seen that before.

Again, you show that you do not know the situation. You should check it out before "you start spittin on yerself". This wasn't about a shed, an entitled player with an attitude, or coach reacting incorrectly with the good old boys. Learn the facts.
