OSU wins the Sun Bowl!!!
(Pic Source: CBS)
Defenses dominated this game, but the Beavers held on to win 3-0!
Slade Norris, Victor Butler, Stephen Paea played intense non-stop defense for 4 qtrs.
The Beavers are 5-0 under Riley in bowl games!!!
9-4 is a great record and a win at the end (no matter how ugly) is still a win!
OSU is now a program. The Coaches are the stars right now. Players who fit in the system will flourish. It is proven.
Great job Beavers!!!!

Pitt Game Prediction
But losing James and Quizz Rogers is going to be really tough. 50% of OSU's offense was due to their production. Unknown players will need to have career games to replace this production.
Pitt hasn't lost anyone. They probably feel pissed that OSU has so many players with post season accolades too.
OSU is going to need a miracle to pull this one out.

I don't think this means much, but if it makes the o-line try harder...I thank Rashaad for feeling inclined to talk to the press....donkey....
Oregon's Offense is really good
They have replicated Florida's offense perfectly. It is really good. Masoli is versatile like Tebow....execution is the key to success.

Motivational Speech for the Beav's
Tuesday, December 16, 2008
McCants is only a redshirt freshman
First of all, both Quizz and Ryan are really young. I remember playing with and against RS freshman in practice and they were easy prey. They don't know the speed of the game, the physical pounding, the angles, etc. I remember Reggie Tongue, he was a great athlete. But in practice, I could pound him routinely because he just didn't have the experience, not because he lacked physical or mental skills. Reggie ended up playing for the Seattle Seahawks while I got fat on the couch...
My point is that Ryan is going to be a really good RB for the Beavers. The Beaver Nation needs to chill out.
Quizz is great, but he is now banged up. Injuries add up. We have to be prepared for always having new RB's step in from time to time. That said, the Beavers are not deep at all at RB. Francis looks like he is going to miss the bowl game or at least most of the practices leading up to the game. We have 3 walk-ons backing McCants. Oh well.
Oregon State readies for Pitt
Coach Riley and Quizz are getting lots of love for a great season. So is Levitre. They are deserve it. This season blew away my expectations.
I hope we keep the bowl win streak alive against Pitt. We do have a score to settle there. Does anyone remember Larry Fitzgerald?

Oregon plays OSU in the Holiday Bowl

Final thought on the Rose Bowl
It's not often you sit in first place with a win against USC in the Pac-10. One game to go. Best of all, you have a home game against your arch rival. This loss hurts.
This was a better year than I expected, but coming so close hurts. I am sure the OSU team will find a way to rebound and have a good showing in the Sun Bowl. The OSU coaches have the challenge of not losing any recruits because of this game while they spend the next few weeks on the recruiting trail. While OSU has a bunch of verbal commits, that's all they are. Verbal commits. Signing on the dotted line is what counts.
Anyway, this game was a huge disappointment. The whole Beaver Nation is in mourning.
Let GnR take us out with an appropriate ditty:

65-38
Oregon State played horrible defense all night. It's ironic that the option offense was what stopped us from going to the Rose Bowl
697 yds of total offense by Oregon was unreal. Oregon's offensive coordinator deserves a ton of credit. Banker got out-coached tonight. Bigtime.
There is no point in analyzing individual players for Oregon State. They all played hard, but made tons of foolish mistakes. James Rogers did nothing, and ended up hurt. Ok, I had to comment on him. Stroughter played a great game.
Most of all, Oregon State got "out-athleted" tonight. Oregon's players were more athletic that OSU's.
Our players got used tonight. Hopefully we can try and save some face in our bowl game.
The worst half of football ever
Oregon's offense looks faster and stronger than OSU's defense. OSU keeps making mistake after mistake.
Oregon has 440 yds in offense. IN THE FIRST HALF.
James Rogers looks overwhelmed. He has been making the wrong reads and generally flat the whole half.
This is a real bummer.
OSU is going to have to play the best half of football they have ever played. A 20 pt deficit is really hard to overcome.
Thursday, November 27, 2008
My Prediction
Oregon State will win by 3 points, 31-28.
Why?
Defense and passing game. OSU's running game will overachieve, but the passing game will be the dagger to the heart.
The home team(Beavers), get's 3 points off the bat. But there is more than quant stats, the Beavers are solid across the board. Defense wins championships.

OSU is Upper Echelon
Riley and his coaching staff have done a marvelous job of locating and developing talent. Riley's recruiting classes since his return to OSU in 2003 have been ranked near the bottom of the Pacific-10 Conference: In order, they've been ninth, sixth, eighth, seventh, eighth and ninth.
In that five-year stretch, the Beavers have gone 47-27 and finished third in the conference three times. They can finish no worse than second this season. They are 4-0 in bowl games.P.S.- The Ducks Suck.
MORE:This year's team supposedly was rebuilding on defense and the offensive line. Guess what?
The Beavers are second in the conference in total defense, fourth in rushing offense and lead the Pac-10 in fewest sacks allowed.
It's not bad, considering Riley and his staff are doing it with guys the recruiting services and programs like USC, Oregon, California and UCLA overlooked or rejected.
MORE:At OSU, it doesn't seem to matter whether Canfield or Lyle Moevao plays quarterback, whether Tavita Thompson or Mike Remmers starts at right tackle, whether sensational freshman Jacquizz Rodgers gets hurt in the first quarter or Justin Kahut misses the tying extra point with less than four minutes to play.
These guys have enough faith in each other and belief in themselves that they will find a way to win.
This doesn't happen overnight. It's the product of a consistent philosophy, good coaching, confidence and of success building on success.

Duck's are already talking trash...
I'm still in shock that the Beavers won
The Beavers are truly a team of destiny. Beating the crap out of Oregon and then upsetting Penn State would qualify this team as one of the greatest EVER in the history of Oregon State football.
Here a kickass video playing on our Monster Video screen at Reser. If I was a visiting team warming up and I saw this video, I would think I was in for a long day....

Possibly one of the best wins ever for OSU
I was a doubter, and watched history unfold.
3-0 Arizona
Quizz Rogers is hurt. Moaveo is out.
Canfield is not playing very well. But hasn't turned it over yet.
James Rogers is stepping up. OSU's D is really tough. Arizona has a good gameplan.
This is a hard hitting game.

Arizona is favored by 3 points
FYI to all of you "Rose Bowl" freaks- OSU is not even favored this week. This is going to be a very tough game to win. ESPN is predicting Arizona the winner.
I am very nervous about this game. I hear the right comments from the kids on the team, but it's still a potential landmine of a game.
Arizona will be fired up.

Cal Fans
I live in the SF bay area, and I have a lot of friends who went to Cal. I like all of them, they are great friends.
But there is something different about Cal fans/alums. They have been through so many ups and downs over the years, and in general they are all real smart intellectually.
But they are f**ked up in that they expect the worst, and hope for the best. I am talking about people who have been around more than one decade. I have no idea about the newbies.
I went to the OSU vs Cal game at Berkeley in 2005, with a friend who was a Cal grad. At first he was quiet. As the game went on he was more engaged. Sorta of rooting for his team. Then Cal started getting it's ass kicked.
He was cheering for OSU midway through the 3rd quarter.
I gave him a lot of sh*t. I told him he was not allowed to support the opposing team. We didn't want his support.
Cal Bears
OSU has to win this game. If they do, it will be a confidence builder for the final two games. If not, the season has a different meaning.
Cal is a good team, and will give the Beavers all they can handle.
OSU has lots of areas they can improve on, both offensively and defensively. I hope they stay focused. Rivals.com has a great article on the Beavers.
There is way too much Rose Bowl talk going on.
Here is Cal's record for the year. They are a good team.

Beavers bash the Bruins 34-6
Quizz rushed 31 times for 144 yds and 1 TD
Congrats to the OSU Beavers for spanking the UCLA Bruins today!
Canfield managed to overcome a weak first half to make some decent passes. James and Quizz Rogers are the real deal. They are both play makers. Ryan McCants is a great running back too. He and Quizz are a great combination of different styles. OSU is stacked in the backfield. Sammie played a great game again too.
The TE's are still not a part of OSU's offense like it was the prior two years.
The O-line is awesome.
OSU's defense only allowed 48 yards rushing today. 48. Wow.
The DB's made plays and came up with 3 picks.
OSU's defense has proved they are one of the best squads in the country. OSU reloaded on defense this year. The rebuilding happened in the first 4 games. These guys have gelled and they are good. They are confident. They are ballers.
Cal lost to USC tonight in a very physical game. Cal is going to be a very tough opponent next Saturday.
One game at a time.

UCLA loses two OL and a DL because of Weed
Apparently they were caught using drugs. I doubt they were sniffing blow, had to be the weed.
There was a D-lineman busted too. Good news for OSU's offense.

ASU comes close
(Pic Source: ESPN/AP Photo/Greg Wahl-Stephens)
The Beavers won a close one last night(27-25), and it looks like each week is going to be tough going forward. ASU was hungry, just like I predicted. They played hard the whole game.
OSU's defense bent, but didn't break. They played tough.
The injury bug is the biggest key to OSU running the table. Moevao is a big loss if he is out for an extended period. Canfield has the physical tools, but I am not convinced he is as mentally tough as Moevao. His pick against ASU is why it was even close. But he did play an excellent second half, the jury is still out.
OSU's secondary seems to have multiple personalities. It seems like teams get away with a lot of big plays in the passing game. Yet OSU's DB make plays sometimes. The OSU prevent defense is not good at all.
Arizona, Cal, and UCLA will be tough. So will Oregon, but they seem to have transformed into a running focused offense. Not sure what to think there.

ASU, myth or reality
This week's game against ASU is not a gimmie like WSU and UW. Yes, this team is underachieving. Yes, OSU is rolling.
OSU is getting recruits, and love from everywhere. Riley is the best coach OSU has had in the last 50 years, and he deserves all the love he is getting these days. OSU is getting verbal commits left and right-which is good.
But the Beavers need to win. They need to beat ASU. That is all that matters.
If OSU loses to ASU this season will be just okay.
If OSU beats ASU this season has the potential to be historic.

OSU's DB's are targets
Every team is going try and throw the long ball at OSU's defense after our game with Washington. Mark Banker is one of the best D-Coordinators in the country and I am confident he can solve the problem.
After viewing game video, OSU defensive coordinator Mark Banker counted eight long passes by the Huskies, with the defender being cornerbacks Brandon Hughes (three times) and Tim Clark (once) and safeties Greg Laybourn (twice), Al Afalava (once) and Austin Hall (once).
Four of them went for completions – for 48, 46, 33 and 28 yards. Two resulted in pass interference penalties on Hughes and Hall. One was caught out of bounds. A 51-yard completion was nullified by a Washington holding penalty.
Read more about Banker's view on the average performance of OSU's secondary from Kerry Eggers at the Portland Tribune. Kerry got the coach to point out some technique issues his players had in the game.
BTW- Greg Laybourn won Defensive Player of the Week, so it's not like OSU's DB's did nothing. They just look very susceptible to the long ball.

OSU is in the playoffs now
OSU has to treat each game now as a playoff game, there is no other way to look at it. Riley is doing a good job preaching a game by game approach, but that's not too hard against two crappy Washington schools.
The next five games are going to be brutal. There are no gimmies. ASU is hungry. But Riley is undefeated on bye weeks. ASU has underachieved all year, which means they are going to be ready to breakout and overachieve. OSU has the game at home, which should help. Rain would help too.
OSU looks pretty healthy, which is good too.
Regarding my prior remarks about putting in McCants more often, I did not mean that as a gripe against Quizz. He is the man. I hope his head doesn't get too big though. His demeanor on the field makes me a little worried. If he is trying to be Barry Sanders, great. But, if he's freaked by the attention, then that's another problem. Spelling him with McCants might be a long term smart coaching move at this point.

OSU wins 34-13 and gets a road win
Moevao played an incredible game. No picks. Very efficient. The Rodgers brothers where unreal, absolutely dominated. See the stats below.
The defense made an incredible stand on the goal line in the fourth quarter after UW threw a 50 yd bomb to the one. It was impressive to watch even though the game was over.
McCants looked very good tonight, he saved the Beavers from a 2pt safety in the 4th qtr. He stepped in earlier when Quizz tweaked his ankle or something.
I think it would help OSU to mix in McCants more often in the running attack. Quizz did nothing until the game was over, UW did a very good job clogging the middle running lanes, and Quizz doesn't look like a break away runner. Also, for some reason Quizz kept the ball in his inside when he was running, not allowing for any stiff arming. He should watching his brother. Stiff arms gain 4 yards all the time.
Our kicking game actually looked great today too. Kahut did a good job.
Here are some stats:

UCLA helps the Beaver cause
But of course, they have to beat UW today.....
17-6 Beavers Halftime
OSU's running game is non-existent. Besides James Rogers and Shane Morales, there is not a lot going on.
Tim Clark-CB, does not look physical enough for the Pac-10 at all. He looks really small on TV. His lack of strength is hurting him on the line of scrimmage with scrub WR's from UW. Not good.
17-3 Beavers 2nd Qtr
Al Afalava hit a Washington WR so hard everyone in the stadium and whoever else is watching this game on the Versus network, felt to the bone.
Shane Morales is an absolute baller making great catch after great catch.
James Rogers has scored twice, demonstrating his incredible speed on two long TD plays.
The Beavers need to put 4 quarters together, but they look really good.

The Pressure is On
If they don't take advantage of this situation, I will be very disappointed.
UW is always a pain in the ass, and a tough place to play. The referees from last year's game were the worst ever, and I don't expect much better this year.
Here is a video clip of the worst call ever.......
Here is a clip of Moevao knocking the snot out of a D-lineman from UW:

OSU has arrived
One of the tell tale signs that a program has moved into "top tier" status is when teams you beat to a pulp complain about the ass whipping they received.
Apparently Washington St. has problems with a 66-13 dismantling. Pussies.
I remember 1990 when Drew Bledsoe threw for a shit load of TD's.
And I remember 1991.
F**K Washington St.
Here is BTD's report.
Here is a quote from Romeo Pellum, who's uncle/cousin/brother might have played at OSU.
As far as I am concerned, WSU got what it deserved. Next game.

Lola Vagina
From the Portland Tribune:
Sophomore placekicker Justin Kahut, whose missed extra point and 43-yard field goal were crucial in last Thursday’s 31-28 loss at Utah, says he is dealing with the psychological ramifications of his performance.“Everyone has bad games,” the Clackamas High grad says. “Everyone has failures in life. I’m trying to look at the positives, see what I did wrong and make changes.
“After (Monday’s) practice, I feel a lot more confident in my kicking. I made a couple of little changes. There are several things that went wrong (at Utah). I probably lifted my head up a little quick on the missed kicks. I didn’t like the angle I was coming at the ball. The corrections I’ve made should help.”
The hip flexor that contributed to three missed field goal attempts in the first half of the 45-7 win over Hawaii wasn’t a factor at Utah and won’t be Saturday, Kahut says.
“I’m feeling good, real close to 100 percent,” he says. “It’s still healing, but I don’t feel any pain anymore when I kick.”
Kahut says he was a little worried about reaction from teammates when he returned to the locker room after the Utah game.
“But we have a bunch of great guys on this team,” Kahut says. “Nobody was pointing fingers. It was actually a really nice atmosphere after the game.”
Kahut says his first phone call after the Utah game was to former OSU kicker Alexis Serna, who went through his own adversity at the onset of his career. Serna’s three missed conversions cost Oregon State dearly in a 22-21 overtime-loss at third-ranked Louisiana State in the first game of Serna’s freshman year. He went on to a storied career and won the Groza Award as the top kicker in the nation.
Serna and Kahut roomed together last season, and Serna – now with the Canadian Football League Winnipeg Blue Bombers – has been a mentor to Kahut.
“We talked about (the LSU game) a lot, even before” the Utah game, Kahut says. “When we talked (last Thursday), we went through the whole thing. He just told me to keep my head up. It happens. You can turn it around. He’s proof of it.”
Riley says he hasn’t lost confidence in Kahut.
“He just has to kick the ball and let it fly,” the OSU coach says. “He may have been overcompensating by being a little careful, and that’s a bad thing to do. But he’s a very conscientious kid with a lot of ability. I still believe he will be a very good kicker for the Beavers.”

The Johnson Redemption
(AP Photo/Douglas C. Pizac)
Moevao is a great quarterback, but sometimes the secondary made his passing look too easy. Glancing at the schedule, Moevao will probably be the best quarterback Utah faces until Max Hall and if they can't shore up their pass defense, he could have a huge game.
Moevao great? Are you kidding me? I guess in the Mountain West conference, Moevao is Carson Palmer or Terry Baker. Read this crap next to a toilet.
Utah fans think they beat USC.
WOW. WTF.
Okay, OSU is top tier, we got it. But geez.

Next......
(pic source: ESPN/AP Douglas C. Pizac)
The Utah game is a hard pill to swallow for a lot of reasons.
#1 OSU should have won.
#2 Ref's shouldn't suck as bad as they did
#3 OSU's kicking game is going to be a problem all year
#4 OSU is a better team than Utah
It's time to move forward and forget Utah. Amazingly, all of the dominoes are tee'd up for OSU to knock down and run the table.
OSU could win all it's games going forward and still win the Pac-10. USC thumped Oregon tonight, and may have lost their QB after a dirty tackle. But the Pac-10 is weak and USC should still win out.
If OSU does the same, OSU wins the Pac-10 and goes to the Rose Bowl.
OSU will have tough games against the Arizona schools this year, Cal is looking good too, and Oregon looms. It's going to be extremely tough to do, but the Beavers could make this year a historic year if they want it bad enough.
I wonder if the players realize the opportunity ahead of them......

Brutal Loss for the Beav's
Wow, this one hurts.
The Beavers had so many chances. Special Teams and Defense wins championships. Neither played well for OSU in the final minutes.
The Beavers played hard, but there was an obvious missing piece to this team that Riley forgot about- the kicking game.
OSU's kicking game is horrible.
Beyond Garbage
THEY WON THE GAME FOR UTAH.
Utah is good. Our kicking game sucks.......
52 seconds
Utah's all american kicker is getting tee'd up to win the game.
8-10 yds and he can kick it in.
WTF
A 32 yd punt.
Utah starts with a short field AGAIN.
OSU's kicking game is going to cost us the game.
28-28
Thanks to our effort to give Utah a short field they drive and get a TD plus a 2 pt conversion.
Utah gets a short field
TD Beavers! 28-20 Beavers!
Brady Camp!!!!
A TD from a TE!!!!!!
YES!
2:23 left
OSU has the ball at the 3 yard line. 2nd and goal. Timeout Utah.
This game is not over by a long shot.
21-20 3 minutes left
The Beavers are 3 and 9 and they call a screen!!!!!
Quizz goes to the 2 yd line!!!
Huge Stop by OSU's D
13:32 to go in the 4th and OSU's defense stops Utah and gets the ball back at the 20 yd line.
21-20 Beavers.
Our Kicker sucks
We drive down and stall, then our kicker misses......again.......
WTF BEAVER NATION?
Is there really no kickers in the NW or what??
I can't believe OSU can't recruit a kickass kicker or punter.
BTW- End of the 3rd Quarter.
21-20 OSU winning.
This one is going to come down to the wire.
TD OSU Beavers!!! 21-20
2 pt conversion again, FAILED.
OSU is giving the game away

20-15 HALFTIME
Quizz Rogers had a couple good plays, but has been stuffed for the most part.
HE HAS 11 CARRIES FOR 60 YARDS! Are you frickin' kidding me? This kid is patient and persistent. BALLER. Well okay, he did have one play for 33 yards, so basically he hasn't done shit.
OSU has to knock Johnson out of the game in order to pull this one out.
Our defense has already scored, which is huge. Special Teams has to do something.
BEAVER'S SCORE!
2 pt try fails.
20-15 2nd quarter.
20-9 Utah
OSU's defense is getting used on misdirection plays.
On the road, it's really hard to come back.
Utah's defense is kicking OSU's offense ass.
It pisses me off that we are only helping USC's cause by losing like this.
Overall the Pac-10 would benefit if OSU was a strong #2.
Night, night.....
Uh oh
Utah on the 20 yd line going in.
OSU's offense is getting pummeled. Moevao looks like a kid among men. Men being the Utah d-line.
Utah scores 13-9
One 43 yd bomb, then a defensive breakdown.
Not good. OSU has to get their offense on the field for more than 3 plays.
The next drive is critical.
9-6 Beavers
OSU has no running game right now. Quizz is getting nowhere. 5 carries for 15 yds.
OSU has a whopping 10 yards rushing. This is not a good statistic for the Beavers. If the Beavers rush for 100 yds they have a 98% winning percentage....
TD Beavers!!!!!
Kahut frickin misses the PAT!!!!!!
DONKEY!!!!!
THAT IS A HUGE MISTAKE!!!!
3-3 after 1 Qtr
Moevao can't pass over the Utah defensive ends at all. He's had 3 balls knocked down in the first quarter.
Here are the stats from the first quarter.
1:00 left in the Qtr
Utah ball with 50 seconds left. 12 yard line.
Utah is balling
2 Moevao passes were knocked down in the drive. Seems like a tip the Utah D-Coordinator picked to focus on.
This game is going to be tough if we keep making mistakes...
3-3
OSU Defense held, OSU's ball with a short field.
Game On
OSU looks smaller than Utah, but they are hitting harder across the board.
Brandon Godfrey got the snot knocked out of him by "the Hitman".

Up Next... the Utah Utes
Utah has a lot of experience at QB and RB, they are good.
The Utah team upset Michigan at Michigan, which is very good.
Utah is at home, which is good too.
OSU is coming off the greatest win in school history and has a lot to lose if they don't win against Utah.
OSU hopefully has found another gear after the USC game, but don't forget the Beaver's still lost to USC last year after beating #2 Cal. And we lost to UCLA after beating #3 USC in 2006.
Utah is no push over, and has senior leadership. OSU is going to have their work cut out for themselves.

The Economics of OSU's Amazing Victory
(source: LA Times)
OSU and USC both earned 630k for being on ESPN last night. Which is a nice payday for both programs.
But because OSU beat the #1 team in the nation, on nationwide TV, they probably got $5M worth of great marketing and PR.
Everyone is aware of Oregon State now.
BTW- There are tons of records that fell last night. Almost too many to mention. The Beavers were the first unranked team to beat a #1 since 1990.
Also, OSU beat the crap out of USC's players throughout the whole game. We simply beat them up and down the field. OSU hit harder and faster. Read more.
Lastly, how stupid does Bryan Payton feel right now? Howabout Una Smiley? You guys blew it.
There is some QB from UVA who got kicked off the team, and stated he was tranferring to OSU, before the USC game he said he hasn't decided to come to OSU yet......I am not sure we need a prima donna, do you?

The Greatest Win Ever for OSU Football
Unbelievable.
OSU did it.
THEY WON!
The Beavers beat the USC Trojans!!!!
They beat the #1 Team in the nation!!!!!!!!
WOW!!!!!
This is an incredible victory for Oregon State's program. It's an amazing accomplishment.
I did not think the Beavers could do it, and they proved me wrong. Beating the #1 team in the nation is such an amazing accomplishment, especially after USC dismantled Ohio St. It's just awesome.
'Quizz Rogers looks like the second coming of Barry Sanders. Quote me on that.
OSU wins if the get the onside kick they win
THIS IS THE GAME.
1:19 left USC scores
USC just scored.
27-21.
I smell heartbreak......
OSU fan's are donkeys
2:30 and USC has the ball at OSU's 40.
Students are getting on to the field. USC is taking advantage.
JaQuizz Rogers!!!!!!
186 yds and 2 TD's!!!! He is hurt.
THE OSU KICKER MISSED IT!!! DONKEY!
27-14 OSU.
2:39 left.
OMG!!!!!
OSU!!!!
INT GREG LAYBOURNE!!!!!
TAKES IT TO THE 2 YD LINE!!!!!
OSU stalls on offense again
The Beavers have to punt. After 3rd and 6, they tried a run and got stuffed.
Now OSU has to punt.....oh shit.
HE COMES THROUGH!!!! Ball downed at the 2 yard line!!!!
3:58 left.
Rey Maluaga is out
Bummer. He got caught up in a pile and got his knee sandwhiched.
4:25 left.
OSU ball. 3 and 5.
Unbelievable
OSU stalled on offense again, on 3rd and 2, they run a pass play after Quizz has been eating up USC.
OSU goes for a 41 yard field goal. Shank.
OSU's defense holds USC
(source ESPN/ap)
OSU has the ball at the USC 42 yard line with 10 minutes to go!!!!
This is a huge opportunity for the Beavers to score some points and make things more difficult for USC.
OSU's offense stalls
The punt is a shank but sticks USC at their own 6 yard line.
11:19 left in the game.
OSU's defense holds
OSU stopped USC and forced a punt!!!
OSU has got to get some first downs. 3 points could mean the game. So all they need to do is move the chains and get the ball to the 10 yard line.
End of the 3rd Quarter- 21-14 OSU
OSU is facing 3rd and long, and USC's offense looks ready to pounce. OSU is scrapping for every yard from USC's defense.
OSU needs to score at least a field goal on this drive. USC is going to score if they get the ball again.
OSU's defense is getttng tired.
Unless I pull a rabbit out of my hat
OSU is about to lose this game unless they score on the next drive.
USC is rolling, OSU looks flat. Offense and Defense look tired. USC is not.
The score is now 21-14.
OSU Stalls
OSU came close, but stopped at their own 40 with 3 and 2.
USC is gaining confidence. OSU needs a turnover badly.
OSU must score
If they are going to win this game they have got to score on this next drive.
USC looks like they are ready to rally.
4th and 9 conversion
USC converts and scores 21-7.
USC got very lucky. Keenan Lewis got burned twice on the drive.
Sanchez hurt
USC is getting flagged for personal fouls alot tonight.
Sanchez is hurt.
Halftime, 21-0 OSU
The Beavers will face a fierce USC effort in the second half.
If the Beavers hold on, this will be one of the greatest upsets ever.
OSU will have to play with as much or more effort as the first half.
The Rogers brothers will need to carry us to the promised land. JaQuizz has 117 yds rushing tonight. James has 30 yds receiving.
The Beavers have 220 yards of offense so far, and USC has 75.
USC could score on any play. These stats are meaningless.
21-0 OSU!!!!!!!
OMFG!!!!!
The BEAVERS ARE BALLING!!!!
James and JaQuizz Rogers are absolutely amazing!!!
James just caught an amazing pass in the corner of the end zone!!!
THIS IS THE MOST AMAZING OSU GAME EVER
The Beavers are ballin
BEAVERS BALL! 1st and 10 on the 40 yard line!
14-0 BEAVERS.
UNREAL.
7-0 Oregon St after 1 Quarter
WOW!!!!!!!!!
The Beavers are playing great. Momentum is slowing, but everyone is playing above their heads!!!
The Beavers are playing inspired football. Period.
7-0 Oregon St
OSU's defense stopped USC 3 and out.
Then.....
An unreal 60 yard drive.
It's going to take 4 quarters......
Let the bloodletting begin
The game is nationally televised on ESPN tonight.
The spread is 25.5 last time I checked. I think this is going to be a game that covers. A ton of money is being bet for USC to cover since the line continued to climb over the week.
My prediction- 45-14 USC. I hope we keep it closer than that.
The odds of OSU winning are 1,000,000 to 1.
Our Orange jerseys are kind of weird to look at. Why couldn't we stick with Black on Black????

A pretty accurate analysis of OSU's football program
The guys at Conquest Chronicles have a pretty good analysis of Oregon State's football team for 2008.
I hate USC fans even more because of this thoughtful and insightful post. Damn media freaks. It's the only thing you are good at.....besides plastic surgery and movie scripts........luv ya....

USC is now favored by 25 pts
I am not sure what to make of this garbage, but the Beavers will not lose by 25.5 pts. I can guarantee this.
BTW-
Una "Dumbass" Smiley got a DUI and has been kicked of the OSU football team. Donkey.
FYI Una- You are not Al Afalava, get over it. Ooops. Too late.
USC is not taking this game lightly. OSU is going to get a full blast of USC in Q1-2, if they can hang in there, they will have a chance.
If USC goes up 21-0, game over.

2006 remembered
I remember a lot of quiet University of Silicon Cans alumns after this game. It was great.

Up Next.....University of Spoiled Children
USC is one of the most annoying Universities on the west coast, for some reason people from USC really think that their "sh*t doesn't stink".
I live in the SF Bay Area(thank god), I see a lot of resumes in my profession(high tech finance), and when it comes to academics, USC is not considered impressive at all, yes they have a good film/media program, but other than that, it's just okay.
OSU is a better academic institution than USC. It's not even close.
The USC girls are smokin' hot, but OSU has had more Playmate's of the Year than USC in the last 10 years. When I went to OSU, the girls were not as smokin' hot as they are today.....
Athletically, we are better than USC too. Football is the only sport USC dominates in these days.
*Ok, historically USC has a boat load of NCAA championships for both men and women, but who cares. Read the top banner of this blog- "totally biased commentary".
Speaking of football, USC has some real ponies playing on the squad this year.
